The power of the sea and weather continues to be a force reckoned with. A force 8 gale is nothing to sneeeze at.

Force 8 Gale: Winds = 39 - 46 mph, 34 - 40 knots; Moderately high waves of greater length; edges of crests begin to break into spindrift. The foam is blown in well-marked streaks along the direction of the wind.
