I would not expect to pay anything. Have them throw it in to sweeten the deal.

At a minimum, not more than half of whatever number they toss out there to begin with. Others may have more current knowledge about today's market.

Yeah, HUGE profit in the extended service plan market.

Be sure and ONLY go with an OEM ESP.

MOST of the aftermarket ones out there aren't worth the paper that they are printed on.

And yes, if I was buying a new boat, I'd have the dealer throw in an ESP as a deal clincher (in fact, I have done that three times so far). Just don't let on about it until AFTER a price has been agreed upon, otherwise they'll just pack it into the price.

I bought a 2+5 from Merc, two year free then the extended kicks in for a total of 7 year coverage. I think it was about $800.

I think I did a 2+4 on our 4.3 MPI for around $600
