I ordered a Banks cat-back. Should be here next week. I may do the install myself. It's been a while since I split my knuckles open on rusted bolts.

Glad to know it's not just me. I can't seem to do anything around the house without bonking my head and/or drawing blood.

In fact, my Admiral has commented that hearing me bonk my head on occassion explains a lot...

I have decided NOT to do the install. My knuckles are thanking me with relief! A local muffler shop is going to put the Banks system on tomorrow afternoon. I was thinking I'd try to do a pre- and post-op video and pics or something, just for the heck of it. It sorta depends on weather and timing, but after opening the box this afternoon, I think I'm getting a bit more than I thought when I ordered it. The tip is a double-walled, 5" diameter affair, polished 304 stainless. The other pipes are 3" stainless (304 also). With any luck, this will last longer than the apparently junky system that came stock. (But, if 50k is standard mileage on a stock system, 43k including 4 Chicago winters is probably about right....)
