So now we'll be building yachts with cheap labor too? When does it end? If they do it right, maybe I'll get one.

It's well past the point of "will be", US branded yachts have been built in China for a few years already -

It remains to be seen what China's ultimate market share will be. That is sort of old news at this point.

What I found interesting in that YF post was the commentary on the need for Western supervision at these Chinese yards. They still need partners to be successful.

Some brands left Tawain for other, cheaper countries awhile back, but now the cost of freight is putting a big hurt on boats from the Far East.

Plus ... I hear that wages in China are on the rise ...
