No wax needed on the non skid, only the smooth gelcoat?

That is what I did and it worked just fine for me. Waxing a non-skid will make it slippery and unsafe. Add some water to that and you could fall pretty hard.

Try the cleaner #68 for non-skid.

This stuff works great on my deck and swim platform.

Others market one also, but I know that this company makes theirs and is very supportive of boating.

OK, so the FAQ was about septic systems, but regardless, it sounds bio-degradable to me, as I think there is organic matter on the boat (mold; bird droppings), and if I can speculate, in lake water too.

Besides, I think I have seen septic systems with cleaner water than what is in our marina.

But if it makes you feel any better, I'll ask Tilex.

If Tilex would be biodegradable, it would be certified so the marketing team could jump all over it.

I got a reply from Tylex. The product is safe as it simply contains a small amount of bleach, and is rapidly neutralized by water.

So every company that markets a product as being "green" must also be lying then.

That is a ridiculous statement...Tilex is not marketed as a "green" product. My point was, not sure why I am even explaining it, was that I was not saying manufacturers lie about their products, but that you always paint your product in a positive light.
