Utica Clinton Township - Michigan places digg it
I have some co-workers that will be traveling to Utica / Clinton Township Michigan for a conference in August. They are looking for some places to shop, eat, party, and maybe take a waterfront cruise or dinner cruise.

If anyone has any suggestions or places near this area please let me know.

They could try the Diamond Jack.
I've passed them on the river and have heard good things from other people who have gone on the ride.

Could also visit Hockeytown Cafe
Downtown Detroit is just southeast of the Utica area (30 min tops) so options are limitless. Peoplemover is $.50 per rider and will run you thru the downtown Detroit area.

Right across the Detroit River is Windsor, Ontario Canada with Cassinos and night clubs. Bring passports for easy crossing.

Yup, but take a gun. Also say hi to the Mayor who's under indictment and the city council members who are being investigated. They need a friendly face.

I won't argue with the idiocy of the mayor and city council, but the gun comment is very unnecessary. I was downtown for several days and nights of a conference this winter, and went several places with no concern.

Now, that's areas that are entertainment districts. I'm sure you could wander around some of the neighborhoods and find 'interesting' folks, but there's really no problem in the places you would go to visit.

belive it or not..Downtown is pretty tame. lots of cops.

but............ go to the west/northwest side of Detroit and you'll find places the cops won't go.

Have them inquire about the Stanley Cup, just maybe it will be somewhere local to see.
