Some more thoughts, we enjoyed the lake and the ability to do some long cruising. It is amazing that as the lake "S" up to the concrete structure that holds the water in, that some stretches are smooth as glass and then you turn the corner and there are 2' chop.

I think I shared with some, but on Saturday pulling the boat out, Waywego was at the ramp getting his truck. OHA drops me off so I can get the truck. A Dodge Ram 3500 diesel hauls out 2 jet skis, Waywego hauls out his boat using a F350, the guy a head of me is sitting in a Titan and made some small chat with him. He said to me that people don't know this, but the ramp is wide enough for 2 and look at this guy (pointing to Waywego) taking the whole ramp.

Well, Waywego did that on purpose because this guy had a Titan with a Regal 26?? Cuddy behind it. I wished I had my camera but that was in the boat. When the guy backed into the water, the ramp was pretty wet, once he put the brakes on, the front tires kept skidding until the boat started to float. It was a good thing he remembered to take the stern straps off. I think my heart skipped a beat and the first thing that came to my mind is, we will have to find another ramp to get our boat out.

We had a great time meeting a bunch of great people!! The weather and water were perfect.

We gave our children the option of boating or going to the water park on Sunday and they chose the park. We had a blast there as well.

We're already thinking about our next visit and we haven't even been home 24 hours yet smile

I'll be posting a few pix as well tomorrow when I get to the office. I spent today cleaning the boat and re-organizing (and cattailspa, let your admiral know that the kamakazi that she spilled on my black vent cover and hull came off with ease...no worries, just bustin' her chops funny funny

Oh well, I guess it's back down to the shallow, brackish, murky waters of the Chesapeake again this weekend...you Huntingdon guys got me spoiled in less than 72 hours with that clear, deep water grin

It was nice to see friends from here again. And it was nice to meet some new friends this year. Hope everyone had a great time. The weather was just great for this time of year. We just got home a little bit ago. I will try to post some pictures tomorrow.

While the start to our weekend was a little rocky, it ended up a fantastic vacation! The kids did not want to leave and my youngest even said that she wanted to live at the lake wink

Thanks to OH, we had some firewood to roast our steaks on Sunday night (delicious) and my first mate and I stayed up late playing with the fire and chatting. Any time you get to have a great conversation with your teenager is time well spent in my book!

The weather was very nice all weekend, but a little windy on Sunday afternoon. Even so, we got in some tubing and I was able to ski on smooth water just before we pulled the boat out. This time, I shared room on the ramp with a couple of jet-skis that looked like they knew what they were doing thumb

It was great seeing the familiar faces and meeting new ones as well. The BABC Raystown Lake get together is certainly one of the highlights of our summers! d d d
