Note that the 20' model has a different hull shape to lower the bow-high attitude when running compared to the 22' models.

Ever wonder where some of these Chris-Craft designs come from?

It has a classic design. Isn't this a common design with older wooden boats?

Yes and no. They tried for the classic look, and succeeded very well. But the construction is modern, which does influence the design, if you look closely enough.

Cobalt did this "rumble seat" idea with a fiberglass boat several years back.

Very retro, but (ahem)...aside from a few well-to-do's that will buy it just because it's different, I'm wouldn't bet on a lot of sales...

I'm a Chris-Craft fan, but find myself siding with FR on this one. I appreciate the effort that went into the design, and it is neat, but... less room than a bowrider, more difficult to access than a bowrider, more mechanical stuff to fail eventually... aside from the novelty factor, why would I want one?

I think it's the same thing as someone buying a sports car. It's not the most cost effective or functional vehicle, but it's fun to drive and cruise around in.
