I've been keeping my eye open for an aluminum boat to be used for fishing and hunting on the river. The snake river can get shallow, but is big enough to boat on for both fishing and hunting.

I figured an aluminum 14-16' with an outboard would be a good option. If you hit bottom, the boat won't get hurt more than a dent and the outboard with a tiller handle would be easy to lift up and down as needed. And, if big enough we could take to the coast for bay crabbing and fishing.

However, a Cobia Caribbean has come up locally for $3200 and I think could probably get it for less.

Assuming condition are good and the Yamaha outboard is reliable, what do you think about using a CC as a river boat?
