That is right next door! We are actually staying in a VRBO in Bonita for the next two weeks while we close on our new home. Give me a holler when you come down if you wanna grab a beer. But pleases don't feel obligated - vacation time goes fast!

My parents have a place in Barefoot beach in Bonita Springs right next to Doc's beach house. We have been going down there going on 13 years.

If you are looking for a good restaurant try C level. One of my favorites. Have to try the french onion soup - amazing they bring it with a pair of scissors to cut the cheese. Not cheap but amazing food.

We had a great time last season at Docs watching the Daytona 500. Doc's seems to have a Chicago vibe. We also like Coconut Jacks nearby.

Have not been to C level, but heard it is fantastic. Thanks for the suggestion, I will make a point to go there before long. So many excellent restaurants in Bonita and Naples.

In Naples one i recommend would be Cooper's Hawk. They make there own wine - amazing. Started in Chicago & have really good food. One of my favorites in our area & down there

The month of October I wish to erase, I had a mild case of C which was like a 24 hour flu. I passed it to my wife who ended up at Urgent Care then took an ambulance to hospital #1 and then a few days later took a helicopter to hospital #2. All in all she spent 15 days in the hospital with 9 of those days on a vent. She came home the day before our son's birthday in early November. Last weekend our family went to an indoor water park and we had a wonderful time celebrating our health. I'd say she's at 99% back to normal except her voice is still soft from having a plastic tube in her throat. The kids (8 and 13) have missed 18 days of school because of being quaranteened because of being in close contact of others. Unfortunately our oldest missed his final football game of the season which was their only loss of the year.

We have been spared the worst of covid so far, though I was just at a friend's cabin with him and another friend. The cabin owner texted me yesterday that he has covid and this morning that his wife also has it. Now, I am waiting to see if I get it and hoping I do not. Since I have been vaccinated and boosted, I'm not really concerned other than having to try to not spread it.

I retired a few years ago but do some part time work. My wife is retiring in early 2023 and I can't wait! We plan on doing more boating and catching up on house projects. Our kids are doing well and overall, I feel really good about where we are.

In September, we are going to Washington state to do a week long charter in the San Juan islands with a longtime BABC friend and his wife. This should be a fantastic trip and one of the ones I have long wanted to make. Having some great friends along just makes it better!

OK, the rumors of my demise were greatly exaggerated. I'm back and I guess I owe all of you an apology for not being on here more often.

WWG reached out to me on Trawler Forum to let me know that some of you were asking about me. So, I'm back. Still got the cancer. Still pretty healthy. Still taking chemo and a testosterone blocker and just plugging along day to d-ay.

We were down in AZ from mid-October to mid-November on a short vaca. Just long enough for the Terrain we had to go TU. I picked the last car so it was Tina's turn. She found an Infiniti that she liked so after ~4 hours of dickering we were the new owners of the Infiniti Q50x. There's a big diff between the GMC and the Infiniti. We drove it back to WA and it got as high as 25.2mpg. Not bad.

So now we're settled back into our WA home. So that's about it.

Doing good here. 80% COVID free here over the pandemic (knock on wood). Wife, 1/5 of the family, caught it last year. Quaranteened her for 10 days. She swears that had she not been vaxed that she would have been in the hospital. We are all vaxed and boosted.

In any case, with all 3 kids are in college at the same time, with no financial aid, I see no retirement plan in the near term! Still chugging away coming up on 35 years at the gig.

Boat has been a high and dry driveway ornament this last year. Last splashed it in late 2020 COVID year on a family only day out.

Still lurk here every once in a while.

We used boat more than usual last couple of years. With covid we figure it is one of the things we can still do. Avoiding any thing with a crowd.

Son bought Yamaha GP1800 SVHO - 250 horsepower supercharged waverunner. Lots of fun. Trying to buy another one for this year.

We are good. So far, no Covid infections for the two of us SoCal, except one of my granddaughters got a very weak dose. Family of five in New England, not so good--4 out of 5 were infected, but nothing more serious than a terrible cold.

We are going on 23 years at our second home at Lake Arrowhead. We are both starting to wear down, but haven't failed to do what is needed as far as opening up the house for spring cleaning, indoor and out. But, we are starting to think about selling the house and boat in the next few years. That's a hard one to come to grips with..

Too many to respond to individually but best wishes to those that have overcome or battling health issues, was nice catching up and enjoyed reading everyone's updates. Hope 2022 is a good one for all of us.

I/we have been very careful, and we're among the very few people I know who haven't had it.

Glad to hear you are doing well Frantic. Doing alot of the same here avoiding crowds & trying to be careful.

We have avoided Covid so far. Our daughter and husband have as well. Flown to Mexico a few times for a vacation. We dont stay in resorts where the crowds are and know where we can eat at restaurants outdoors. So far so good.

Just got a good 12" of snow yesterday. Had drift on driveway 30" deep. Made for some good fun.

Nothing like 1.5 hours of snow blowing after working all day.

No snow here in Eastern TN yet.

Not nearly enough in Utah this winter. what started out as promising with ground saturating rains in October, fizzled to nothing in November. A few good storms in December teased us only to go dry in January. Looks to be a bad snowpack year with not nearly enough snowpack to help the low lake levels.

Working my arse off to pay for the property and hopeful improvements and haven't changed our lifestyle in the pandemic. The admiral and I both have high exposure jobs, and after almost two years I finally got a mild case, one night of dry heaves, a week of unproductive cough and sore throat. Got a week paid time off without needing to access my sick pay account, then I called out on another trip because I could.
The admiral tested negative, my older son tested negative, and my unvaxxed younger son tested positive with just a minor minor case.
