Good post Mark, Fire was always at the back of my mind when on the boat, but too often it was WAAAAAAY back in my mind. We did have the gps connected to the DSC so if the feathers hit the fan the rescue guys would know where we were. Boating on a river, if we had a fire people would certainly see the smoke and know where we were. Knowing where the four fire extinguishers were and how to get off the boat in a hurry were things that we talked about.
Fortunately that's the extent of our actions--talking about how to do those things but never having to actually do it,
