Hello All,

This morning I have updated the forum software to the latest version. So far, it seems like all went well and everything is working properly.

Some things will look a little different. Sometimes they will look a LOT different; such as the "Active Threads" pages (Formerly "Active Topics").

If anyone runs into a problem, please let me know.

Hope you all are doing well!

Hello. Ty for making this page and for allowing me to join.
Just browsing and ra. Across it. Mainly I was searching and a question came up in regards to
Fred Claxton, Celebrity Boats and Crownline Boats and the who and what of them
So Fred started Celebrity Boats. Been running since the ups.
He sold and started Crownline Boats. In the meantime Jimmy Faulks
started Mariah Boats.
At Mariah we but 25 boats a day. From 180 bowriders to 265 buddies.
Crownline was using the old Marktwain Boats factory for awhile.
Celebrity sold to a few companies. Juniper to be the last owner before BRP
Bought it.
I've calculated I've roughly made about 100,000 boats in my career.
I started when I was 21 years old. I'm 50 now.
I've had the pleasure of making boats for Larry Bird, Mickey Mantle, Johnny Cash and mario Andretti.
I helped make the last Andretti boat at Celebrity Boats.
I own my own shop In Benton Illinois. It's called
The Cazy Mule

I've calculated I've made approximately 100,000 boats in my career .
Nutting like taking an ole tub and watch her come back to life.

Zippy - Welcome. I enjoyed reading the history that you posted. I knew that Celebrity and Crownline were related but did not know exactly how.

Here in Northern IL, there used to be a lot of Celebrity and Mariah boats. Crownline is still selling strong from what I can tell, I have not seen a Mark Twin boat since I was a kid,

I would love to hear more stories about your boat building experiences.
