When headed to the boat, I am often wearing swim trunks, so transporting my wallet, phone, keys, glasses, etc. can be a challenge. Regardless of my attire, I try to never have anything of value in my pockets in case I go in the water. Once on the boat, I struggle to keep all of these items together in a safe place where they are dry, won't get lost, crushed, etc.

I typically bring a small water resistant duffel to the boat with a towel, change of clothes, etc. However, smaller items, such as, keys, phone, etc., get lost in the bag, and the bag is usually stored out of the way, making it inconvenient to access.

Wondering what everyone else does with their personal effects and valuables when headed to the boat?

We have a nice mesh bag that i got from Overtons a long time ago.

All personnal items go in & are loaded into boat before we even take it out of the barn.

When we make the long 4 mile ride to the launch we are ready to back in & go.

When we traveled I placed the small items in a small compartment of a backpack/ duffle bag. Now that it is slipped, I place my wallet and phone in the side pocket or cooler bag, no need for keys as they're in the house.

I use a drawstring bag.

Now that we're doing our boating on the Whaler I use one of the Pelican plastic boxes (#1060) to store phones, wallet, etc. It has a caribiner clip attached to it so it won't get away from the boat.

I use a backpack with more pockets (most zippered) than I'll ever need and several mesh pockets. The insulated main compartment is large enough to at least two bottles of wine--or 4-6 cans, including freeze blocks.

Caughlin (or coughlin) makes a 4 pack of mesh zipper pouches. I use some of them in my hunting pack.

Get them at WM (I think I ordered them in) for under $15 for the set. 3 or 4 sizes.

That might work for a place to store things. If you want waterproof, a small dry bag would do better. Also can be had from WM.

We use a small dry bag. It keeps our stuff dry, floats and can be clipped or tied to something else.

I'm old school, I usually use a ziplock bag for the wallet and phone if I've got to walk down a dock or wade out to the boat.

If it's at the launch ramp, I throw it in the glove box while we're still dry. Key fob for the vehicle goes in my suit pocket, and it's waterproof anyway.
