So after 19 years, I decided to keep my boat vs. trading in for a new one. So I had my gimble and bellows replace by a shop. Then I replace my plugs, wires, distributed cap and rotor. Then I replace my trim pump... very easy. Then replace all my anodes. I’m hoping this puts me in a good place for next year. Just finished with winterizing.
Hope the boat doesn’t turn into a money pit.

I am about to do the same thing. Spend a few thousand on the boat I have and have the same fun factor as a $150G boat.

Captkev, I don’t know as in 2001 hour meters weren’t that common. But I’m assuming around 1500.

MarkHB, yep, that was the decision I made... spend 82k or a few thousand on my existing Boat.

Thats more or less where we are at. Looking at prices on new boats is crazy. Went to boat show last winter & was shocked at current prices.

To be honest, while a new boat looks like fun, renovating my boat can be fun too. As I get things done, it’s a good feeling of accomplishment. Just hope it’s not an ongoing endeavor... money pit. So far, so good.

these days it's easy to gauge new v used-- I've come to find that cars, AND boats, can usually be fixed- even some 'major' repairs- for less than 6 monthly payments of a new version smile

Assuming the bones are good, it's always cheaper to maintain and repair a used boat than to buy a new one. Everything you described except the trim pump is maintenance. The trim pump is repairable, you can replace just the failed parts in the pump if you wish to restore to an operational spare.

My hour meter stopped working at 111 hours or about 8 years ago. The price of new(er) boats is out of this world so I'll keep mine for a few more years.
