2004 Cobalt 220. As title says, a critical weld on my swim ladder broke. My ladder is a single tube that telescopes with two steps. The weld that broke is a support piece that keeps the ladder from going too far back. When the weld broke the telescoping tube got bent so that the lower part won’t collapse into the upper part. I’m probably not explaining this well but my options are to take the ladder off and try to have a fabricator reweld the support piece and hopefully reshape the tube...or...try to find a replacement ladder. Cobalt only keeps inventory for 7 model years so I’m pretty much out of luck. Anyone have any ideas on fixing or replacement?

put a pic up, you might be surprised. Also, Cobalt doesn't make their ladders so there is potential to find one. Lastly, we added a platform to our boat 10 years ago. Never took off the old ladder and it just sits there. Perhaps it will be the motivation I need to take it off and seal the holes.
