"Have we all lost interest in who wins?" Yes. Except my favored cable news channel had their entire list of hosts on yesterday right from the stadium. They asked these questions from each of their guests, some with good credentials in calling a game and those who are like me--very little knowledge.
"Do we not give a crap about the game?" Yes. Could be that people are afraid to show their enthusiasm and be happy, a form of political correctness.
" I think that other than the MSM the excitement level in this country about football is down the drain." Agreed. EXCEPT in KC, SF and Miami.

In the past, I enjoyed not only the game, but the half time show and the commercials as well. This year, I enjoyed the game, but the commercials were meh, and I found the half time show to be in very bad taste. It also seems that the game of football has become rather political. I guess I am no longer in the target demographic, and have grown out of touch with the times. Oh well.
The commercials sucked. Too much social justice warrior BS and then there was Bloomberg's ad. I didn't see Trump's ad.
My food was ok. Homemade Teriyaki Elk Meatballs and Elk potstickers. Guacamole was good
Had a good time at a friend's house for the first half.

I watched a bit more than half the game, spent the rest of the time BS'ing with friends. Some friends from the club are thinking about buying our Whaler that we keep up here so we towed it down there for them to look at. That gave me an excuse for me not to have to watch the half time show.
I'm glad the Chiefs won only because I hate the 9'ers since they allowed Kaperdick to do his thing.
Oh, and I won $20 on one of the board for the first quarter score. Broke even on the night and had a great time with friends doing it.
We went to friends house, it's a standing tradition every year. I try to cook a food item related to the teams playing. I hope I don't have to wait another 50 years to cook some KC style BBQ. The team I wanted to win won, my wife is a 49'ers fan and a Redskins fan by birth. She kept saying it's anyone's game when the 9'ers were up by 10 with 6 min. to go.
Can't believe you are getting rid of one of your Whalers.
It's a long story behind it but within a year or so we'll be selling Beachcomber. Once she's gone we will no longer need two Whalers. We've decided to sell the one we have here then bring the other one up from AZ and keep it in the garage.
Once Beachcomber is gone we'll buy a motorhome and do some land cruises. We're not looking for a long one, probably something in the 34'-36' range, maybe a diesel pusher but I wouldn't turn down a nice gas rig. I figure we will have 5-10 years of doing trips around the country and Canada in it, and possibly a trip to AK.
Lives change and life presents us with new adventures.
I agree Justi, and if they don't get out of the habit of sleeping through the first half of the game and trying to play catch up ball in the second half, they never will be there again. Maybe they'll be like the Chiefs---> Twice in a century.
