I've been using Kenda Loadstar bias tires for years on a single axle trailer and have never had a failure. 1st set was on for 8 years 2004-2012 and second set is coming up on 8 years this summer, may upgrade them then. Thinking of going from a C rated tire to a D on a 15" rim. I think the simpler construction of a bias tire is less prone to delamination or broken belts. With a steel belted radial the issue is always the bonding of the steel to the rubber. I have seen the new Goodyear Endurance tires and they are more expensive but may be worth it. Interesting to note that new, their tread is only 8/32nds. Might be this way to reduce heat build up and make scrubbing around turns less hard on the tires.
