We found our new to us. used boat. It's a 1996 Bryant 212 Limited. The boat has been pampered since new and in great condition. Bryant is a small company in Sweetwater Tennessee who builds each boat custom by hand for their prospective owner. Considered to be equal or better than a Cobalt, Bryant boats are 100% fiberglass and have a lifetime structural warranty. The one we bought had been a pampered baby and had 75 hours on it. It has been operational for it's entire life, well maintained, just lightly used. The boat has a 7.4 Liter MPI Bravo One, and will hit 63 MPH per GPS at 4600 RPM with a 23 pitch prop.

I like Bryant boats, nice find. I seem to hazily recall one of the Bryant's used to post on here from time to time...

Joe Bryant. Things have changed. Bryant Boats website looks like it may have been done in 2017 or 2018.

"Today, Bryant is a part of the industry’s most respected family of brands: Correct Craft."
Here's a link to the Cobalt site where the announcement was made.
https://www.correctcraft.com/correct-craft-acquires-bryant-boats/

About Correct Craft: Celebrating 92 years of excellence in the marine industry, Correct Craft is a Florida-based company with global operations. The Correct Craft family includes Nautique, Centurion, Supreme, Bass Cat, Yar-Craft, SeaArk, and Bryant boat companies, Pleasurecraft Marine Engine Group, and Aktion Parks. For more information please visit www.correctcraft.com.

I wonder when Correct Craft became a Florida-based company.

Congrats! That 's a great boat with a great engine choice. Does it have the serpentine belt or V-belts?

Thats great news. Can't wait to hear more about your new boat. Bryant sounds like a way better boat than the Invader you were considering. 21' with the big motor should make a great combination.

When we were shopping for our current boat in 2012, I really wanted to find a Bryant, but there weren't any around SoCal. With the new business, we now have a dealer. He was a MasterCraft dealer for years and years, and then someone else got that position. There is one on our lake as of this spring. HUGE boat. Much different than they used to build. In fact, it has a lot of Cobalt touches in the shape of the hull. Rear facing seats, too. Not too sure about how wise that is.

Thanks everyone! Dave R, the engine has the serpentine belt. In fact the original owner didn't winterize it quick enough in 1998. In the spring of 99 a complete new engine was installed. It's the 99 version. The front seats are on swivel bases. If I figure out how to post pictures again, I post some up. One thing we really like about this boat is the balance. The 60 gallon fuel tank is in the front and so is the built in cooler. The boat is very well balanced and the operation testifies to this fact.

Nice ugrade. That motor has a more stout bottom end and a roller cam, both upgrades over the Gen V that was likely in there before, not that the gen V is bad or anything.

I've always like the Bryant line. I've never been aboard one but I've heard nothing but good comments about their design, the build, etc.

Congrats on the new baby. Can't wait to see the pics.

Sorry for the lapse in posting. We went camping and boating on Lake Chatuge NC in August.
While camping I slipped off the steps on the camper landing on my right shoulder. The fall resulted in a complete tear of my rotator cuff and biceps tendon. I underwent surgery on February 3rd and am recovering well. Even with the injury we were able to use the boat some while visiting the grandchildren before storing both boats up for the winter. I propped my right arm up on the arm rest, drove left handed. and denied that I was in pain. The Bryant performed perfectly and the grandchildren had a great weekend. We are very happy with our purchase. The boat is going to the shop next week for overdue maintenance. I still haven't figured out how to post pictures. It says that the file is too big.

Wow, that sounds like a painful injury, your denials notwithstanding. I'm with Kevin in hoping that your recovery is going well.
