Our forecast in lousy both at the lake & at home this weekend so we are staying home. Would love to get on the water but as bad as our forecast is can't see any reason not to stay home. Hopefully some of you have better weather & can get out on the water. Hope to get out in the next week or two.

We'll probably hit it for the day on Memorial Day. Kinda depends on our daughter in Seattle who's about to present us with a new grand daughter. She's due 6/6 but it looks like the newbie may come a bit early.

Forecast calls for 62 degrees in the valley, with rain. Which means about 59 Degrees with wind and rain at the lake. One of the very few holidays I'll get off this year and it doesn't look good for getting out.

Don't know about boaing, but we did get a little boating in.

We are on Torch Lake at friends place, been coming here for a lot of years. We got lifts in along with boat and jet ski along with various other water stuff.

For the boating! Did a quick trip from the launch to the house on the jet ski, didn't need to do that again, water isn't above 50. We did take the boat down the length of the lake yesterday. Stopped by Alden after about a 12 mile run for an ice cream stop. Back to the house after. The cruising was good, but a bit chilly. It was decently warm out, but the air coming off of the 50 degree water was brisk. Still happy to have made the trip!

Sadly, my own boat is still in storage. We've had a very cool spring and also busy for me with a graduating daughter and busy at work. Not really sure when I'll be getting it home, very sad for me.

We did make it out on Memorial Day. Cruised up river a few miles and dropped the hook. Beautiful day, mid-80's, light breezes, good tunes, got a bunch of cleaning done that was long overdue, then a nice, leisurely cruise back to the slip.

Haven't got the boat wet on the lake, yet, but looks like Friday will be the big day--mid 70's, plenty of sun, but cool, cool water. No water sports this May. The lake normally gets into the low 70's by June 1, sometimes summer highs to 76, and sometimes only 68 or 69 high for the year. Due to the lake being full, actually, over flowing, we are looking forward to a great, albeit short, summer. Got some granddaughters coming up for a few days. I am hoping I can fill one item to put in my bucket list--water ski next to each of my grandchildren. One down, 4 to go. Wish me luck.

Launched Friday afternoon. Boat ran fine. Wife did a good job bringing the boat over to the dock while I drove the Tahoe/trailer over. Weather was mid to high 60s. Water surface is still 57 degrees.

Lake level is about 1" over full even though extractions for domestic use have continued. This is a result of a very saturated ground and snow melt. We walk by a "seasonable" creekbed to get to our dock and it is running like we haven't seen in 6 years. Rained again yesterday evening as we were coming home.

Looking at our current weather forecast we probably won't be back out until July. Glad we got out this weekend.
