Been having issues with my email bouncing, I'm getting all kinds of flack from the 'spam cop' reporting agencies-- problem is, the IP address details are all over the map-- one place says my ISP IP, which means any email leaving any computer in my house is on their sht-list, another place shows my email server's addresses as some blocked, some not, but I have no way of knowing which email alias goes to which IP address... I also have a gmail account, which would likely be affected based on my ISP address but not my server's IP's... yes? no? ARRGHH!!

Not sure if calling my web host or Comcast (email, ISP) and asking them to change my IP address will do any good? One spam-cop place says my Comcast IP is within a block of similar address that are know spammers, which I guess makes ME a spammer. And would this be the reason several of my alias's IP's (kevin@, info@, mail@, etc) are getting bad-listed?

Short version: I'm in business, and I CAN'T have my sent emails end up in my customer's spam folders, or never received at all!

I've been considering a VPN for awhile anyway just because, but wondering if it'll help with this email BS since I won't have 'my own' IP address any more?

Anyway, anyone ever deal with this kind of stuff?

(I'm really REALLY getting to hate social media and the internet in general)

Doing a quick search I pretty much only see info about issues with sending emails when USING a VPN!...nothing where it would help make a bad situation better. I don't know much about VPN's though other than I had to use one in my previous life with market-making trading software for added security. Security is the only conversation they seem to come up in as far as I know.

I do know you can pay your internet provider to get a fixed IP address as we had one here at my current business up until yesterday. As I recall that was to let our remote programmer access our on site server...which is no longer on site. I don't know that you can request what that IP address is or what range it is in however. I think I would start with a call to Comcast though...should only take you an hour or two of waiting on hold! :-)

Used to be several tech folks lurking around here, maybe one will chime in. Let us know what you find as I'm curious.
