Hello. New to the forum. I just got my first boat: a 2006 Bryant bowrider. We have been out 3 times already and love it. However, I need the owner's manual for it and have emailed the company twice but have not received anything back as of yet. I have googled it but have nad no luck. Can any of y'all help? Thanks in advance!

I just went to Bryant's website to see if I could find a phone number. I guess they really don't want people calling them with questions. You might try finding a local dealer and giving them a call for help.

I just went to Bryant Boats website, and then on the bottom clicked on their facebook link. There is a phone number on the facebook page. It says they close at 5:00 (15 min from now). I will try pasting the info at the end of this message.

Good Luck,
Rip.

No matter if the power train is Volvo Penta or Mercruiser, when someone purchases a new boat, the manufacturer provides the necessary owner manuals. If you can get what you need, you will be getting most of what you need. In most cases, getting the serial numbers off the drive and the engine will be required.

Here's VP's manuals webpage:
http://www.volvopenta.com/marineleisure/en-en/for-owners/your-engine/manuals---handbooks.html

Here's Mercruiser's manual website. Looks like they require payment for manuals, but there is a phone number to call.
http://publications.brunswick.com/category-s/1820.htm

If these don't work for you, a dealer should be able to get what you want. Or Google "Volvo Penta operator manuals" or "Mercruiser operator manuals." You will be surprised how many links crop up. Might take a little time, but it might also help you with your desire to have manuals.

Regarding Bryant manuals, you can Google your model number for manuals. You might find the the one you need.

One last thing, did you ask the previous owner if he may know where they are?

Owner's manuals for the boat itself may not exist, or be quite generic and not very useful. The engine service manual will get you much of what you need, as Jack mentioned.

I have googled "Bryant 206 owner's manual"and not been too successful. I will look for the engine service manual. Thanks for all of the help, guys!

Check out the BryantBoatOwners.net site. I found brochures for mine, did not look for a Bryant manual and do not know if any were provided new. Asking questions there will get the best answers. Plus all of us will want to know more about your Bryant wink

A boat owners manual is easily the most useless document ever. What info do you actually need?

In many cases, but sometimes they're pretty decent. For our Chap I found an extremely comprehensive parts identification guide, shows full photos of every installed part on and in the boat, followed by a page full of complete descriptions of each part. This is just 2 pages, the whole guide is 47 pages! While it doesn't tell you how to work the bilge pump, it does tell you where it is, the hoses connected to it, the brackets holding in on, the wiring smile

====================

When we bought the Regal, it came with a looseleaf chock full of manuals- problem was, it was for every large boat Regal built in 2002 EXCEPT the 2860 Commodore! But I did find the missing paperwork online. These manuals are quite comprehensive too. I did some Bryant searching online, only manuals I could find were for Bryant Heating and Cooling systems...

Well, I stand corrected. That's an impressive manual FR... My Regal manual (and all the other manuals I've seen, save that one) are pretty crappy at best.

I need help understanding the stereo information, first. There are panels at the instrument panel and the back of the boat...excuse me- the stern. I have no idea how to work them. I would also just like general information about the boat and engine. I just want to be on top of things and learn as much as a can about everything. Thanks for all the help here, y'all. You have no idea what this means to a dad who wants to give his wife and kids the same great memories that my parents gave me.

"I need help understanding the stereo information, first."
First comment. Have a teenager show you. (:-)

Second comment. If you have the stereo brand and model number, the manual for it will be easier to find than the boat manual. First, check the manufacturer's website. I did this for mine and found lots of stuff.

I also checked the Bryant Boats website. Found a news article about Johnny Crowe, a new Midwest sales manager. According to his LinkedIn.com profile, he is located in Gainsville, Georgia. Maybe he can help out.

"Bryant Boats is pleased to announce the recent addition of industry veteran John “Johnny” Crowe as the Midwest Sales Manager."

Here's some contact information about Bryant Boats at this web address:

According to Bryant's webpage, their nearest dealership is 27 miles from you. Johnny Crowe is the former President.

Several years ago, on one of the boating forums, maybe BABC, Joe Bryant was quite active. Sounded like a great guy representing a great family business. Bryant is now a Correct Craft company, and also has a good customer service reputation. Maybe they can help you as the "mother" company.

Final comment:
The internet is a great thing for finding things. Be resilient. Continue to search info about Bryant Boats in any way you can. Eventually, you will find what you are looking for.
