Just a PSA in case anyone was thinking of going out today, there is a small craft advisory.

...SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY IN EFFECT THROUGH SUNDAY AFTERNOON...

Quote

.TONIGHT...Northeast winds to 30 kt becoming east 20 to 25 kt. A
few gale force gusts to 35 kt possible through early this evening.
Mostly cloudy in the evening then clearing. Waves 6 to 9 ft
occasionally to 12 ft.

Maybe this should be upgraded to a large craft advisory ouch

BTW - The temp is currently 37F, going down to the low 20s overnight.

Just curious....anyone know what the diff is between small craft and large craft when it comes to these warnings?

And just in case you're wondering what waves that size look like, here's some 10'+ waves on the Columbia River

FYI, We're heading out Monday to go to Portland, OR. It's a 2.5 day, 235 day cruise where we'll pass through 4 sets of locks and go right through the same area where those two videos were taken.

Those are some crazy waves in those videos. Can only imagine what they would be like in a smaller boat.
