I got something I wasn't expecting in a million years:

[Linked Image]

I'm supposed to be too old to ride it, but I had a blast on it yesterday! Takes some balancing skills, but I didn't do too bad, and it might do me some good!
--yeah, helmet smile

I also got one of these!

-- I had one of those "Little Chief" smokers that bit the dust YEARS ago, used to make jerky in the thing. Maybe I can make Angus beef taste good with this? wink

One of our traditions is a new clock every Christmas, however we've missed a few the past few years, so I made up for it this year in 'boating fashion'...

video of one running--

-- these aren't ours, but the one in this video it's exactly like it. I just one looking for 'unique clocks', and came accross one and thought it was cool, didn't know a thing about its history until I did a little research, very cool...
I could just watch it run for hours smile

I've been looking at these Segways. How does it do on relatively long and steep hills?

FitBit . . .

It says I have a heartbeat and I climb a bunch of stairs . . took 15,000 steps yesterday. . .

It might be the Admiral's subtle way of saying go on a diet smile

Also got a sport coat, some shirts, a 'Roger That' T-shirt, and a few other 'usual' items.

Got a new set of snowmobile boots which i hope to put to good use real soon. Pictures to follow.

I am at the point in life where i much rather give than receive.

Bought my son a Truxedo Low pro q tonneau top for his truck.

Although it is a present that i will get to enjoy when we take his truck sledding this year.

Not sure yet, but because you lean to make it go, when going up a hill your body's CG will be more forward which should (in my mind's thinking) help reduce the load. I'm 220# and on the flat, and going up out of our gutter it has NO trouble with me. We have a big skywalk a block from the house to get across a 6-lane highway (Redwood Rd), and right next to the skywalk on the other side is our vet clinic. It'll be my first hill test. The walk has 3 long switchbacks, not all that steep so it should do okay. The thing has a 59 volt battery and a 14 mile range. What will be fun is the downhill run wink There's quite a few places within a half mile that I could easily get to with this rather than fire up the van. When it's warm... wink

I'm getting a whole new set of windows and Stamoid cover for the fly bridge in March. That's my main gift. I got a jacket and a fitbit. I put it on and it kept trying to dial 911 to report a deceased person.. Just kidding. I have ZERO use for a fitbit so we took it back the day before Christmas.

I got my wife a pair of SONOS Bluetooth speakers. Pretty cool. I just say "Alexis, play some Jimmy Buffet" and she does it I don't know where she gets it but she'll play a couple of hours (or all day if I want) of Buffet tunes.

Got a lens hood for a lens I bought earlier in the year. Like Canon, turns out that Olympus does not supply the hood with the initial purchase. During the year I accumulated a butt load of electronics, so we went light on Christmas.

Hohoho

"Alexa" get's the music from Amazon music. Not sure where "Alexis" get's her tunes from. wink

Another year or so, and Alexa will sit on a table unplugged (like our's from last X-mas) and the FitBit will join it as a fad that will soon pass.

Yep, giving and not receiving gifts is how my Christmas went this year.

I made my wife a 24"x30" painting of our lake and is proudly hung at the lake house. I received a winter jacket however it was too small and some shoes however they were too big. My wife is not the best gift giver. My sons enjoyed opening up some gifts, my oldest received a lot of Seattle Seahawk stuff as this is his favorite team.
