Perhaps this thread will cause it to happen. I'm talking about bitcoin. Every day I see news stories about it and the warning calls being made about comparisons to other bubbles. Is the news about bitcoin making it spike, and people are ignoring all the warning signs and stories as there is so little trust in our newsmedia, or are they right to think that this "currency" is legit? Once something such as this makes the leap from the "regular" media to totally unrealated social media, such as BABC, is that a sign that the bubble is at it's stress point? Has anybody here used or "invested" in any of these blockchain currencies, or are you like me and just don't trust them

My DIL and her hubby own some bit coins. We were all at dinner last night and that conversation came up. He's afraid of a bubble burst so I suggested he take out his original investment then see if he could put in some stop orders to sell it as the price rises and also a stop loss order to sell if the price starts to drop off quickly.
He doesn't know how those work but they're coming over today to celebrate Christmas with us so we'll have ample time to explain it.
