Well as most of you know we had a major life change earlier this spring and sold our 410. Mainly due to usage or lack there of. I made a mistake and calculated how much per "night on board" the boat ran us nono facepalm. So we went the summer without a boat...it was fine until baseball ended. plan was to buy in the spring. We had decided to get something like we have never had before, a ski/wake boat. I came across a local guy needing to sell his boat. a 2007 Tige 22i. Really nice shape. Go like a tazered cat and the kids love we can do watersports again. I need to replace the steering cable and we bought a new cover.

Congrats on the new boat.

Flickr is pretty easy. Click on the link to share & get to the bbcode then copy & paste.

Those kind of boats seem to be getting more popular.

Technically it would be Wet Dogggggg is we kept the naming tradition. But we might mix it up and go with Wake Dog and have 5 small G's around it somehow.

Children like to do their water sports and myself included. You will be having some fun next year for sure. Doing the per night calculation does put things in perspective. My wife said if the boat can fit in the garage we can get it. Thankfully my garage is 44 feet long however the opening is only 9 feet wide by 8 feet tall. For now my 26' boat does just fine.

You'll probably have more fun with this boat, regardless of how many "g's" you give it.

Glad the boat deal worked out for you. Welcome back to the water. It's hard to stay away, even for a short time, isn't it ?

It is. Plus we purposely bought a boat we can't spend the entire day on. I mean we could, but not nearly as comfortable. And I can't punch the gas until I know everyone is sitting. It is a BI*CH to dock. Miss my diesels.

Never driven a boat with a rudder but I'd imagine it would be quite different.

What does it have for an engine?

It is quite different because no matter where the rudder is pointing it always backs to starboard. It is going to take some getting used to for sure. It has an Indmar Monsoon 340 hp. Boat comes out of the hole like crazy.

Nice boat. Looks like you're already having lots of fun
It really won't take that much getting used to.
You've got enough experience that it's just a minor change of technique and you'll be docking and putting it on the trailer like a pro.

Nice, the boat looks pristine! We made a similar switch this year and the kids love it. Docking/trailering will come back to you in no time.

Tige is one of the best. I only wish wake making machines were not allowed on our lake. Weekends are unusable even for our 22-footer.

What type of cover did you purchase? How does it work with the tower?

Bought a custom cover from Carver Covers out of Sun-DURA. Made to go around the tower. I also bought a Hangtyte. Instead of support poles it attaches to the tower and pulls tight. Very slick system and well made.

"Cool cover. Never heard of a hangtyte."

Nothing like a full cover--wish mine came with one. I have only seen these on direct drive/V-drive competition boats with towers. Some are direct from the boat manufacturer. Good idea because there are no poles to set or stow away.

How does the cover keep the rain from running down the tower and inside the cover at the base?
