Hi,
I am looking for a trailer to fit a 24 foot Crownline weighing 5,300lbs. I'm located in NJ looking for used or a good price new.

I bought one form Loadmaster in Port Clinton, OH about a year ago when mine was stolen. I didn't keep all my notes on pricing, but they were competitive with all the major manufacturers.

I would buy from them again in a heartbeat.

I bought a new trailer from Loadmaster Custom Aluminum Trailers of Tampa, FL. www.loadmastertrailer.com Couldn't be happier with it. They have a few dealers from what I understand, but I purchased it direct from the factory and had it delivered via uShip.com

I did look hard at a few different Ventures, but for a little bit more $$$ I got a much better trailer. Here is a very large Venture trailer dealer in CT. http://www.diamondmarine.net/trailers

+1 on loadmaster from Ohio (no experience with the one from FL).

Heard good things about Laodmaster, they also have a more cost friendly trailer called 5 Star. Another place where a member of this board purchased his trailer was from http://www.davestrailersales.com/index.html Usually disclaimers apply.

I have one for sale that used to hold my 20.5 foot Larson. Needs some work on the brakes (brake lines all rusted and need to be replaced). It's yours for $500. Here's my Craigslist ad: https://philadelphia.craigslist.org/tro/d/2005-easy-loader-boat-trailer/6263540466.html

I guess I missed something. How does one suddenly not need a trailer for his boat?

Many reasons, one your old trailer is too old and second you keep the boat on a lift.

Cost to fix rusted brake drums and brake lines is too high to put into a trailer that old. Plus, I'm done with painted steel, drum brakes and leaf springs. I wanted aluminum (less weight and better for salt water), disk brakes and torsion suspension (supposedly better tire life).

My next trailer will be aluminum as well, I like the painted however rust is always a concern.
