Great Sacandaga Lake Mayfield,...
For a long time I used Diehard combination deep cycle/ starter batteries. I usually go 3 maybe 4 years. In 2006 I purchased at Walmart an Everstart MAXX Group 29 deep cycle battery for my Searay which had 3 batteries. In 2007 I purchased another Everstart MAXX grp 29. The first one went 6 years and the 2nd one went 7 years. I had copies of the receipts.

I needed a battery for my pontoon boat (grp-24),went to Walmart and discovered they no longer sell the MAXX line of batteries. They were also cleaned out of marine batteries, so I went to Advance Auto. I think that on is an Autocraft. I wonder why Walmart stopped selling Everstart MAXX? It had a better warantee and at least in my experience the were very good batteries.

At work we use O.S. Walker magnets to pickup coils (up to 2000#).
The magnets have marine deep cycle group 27 batteries in them. Magnets are used 8 hours a day 5 days a week. In the past i have used Diehards, Interstates & others. Would spend $$ trying to get the best batteries. In the end I have found that the Exides that i can get at Menards for $71 work as well & last longer. Go figure.
