The news the other day said Chicago has just about the highest prices in the country right now, no surprise the marina's are up there...

Price of oil has fallen more than $12 a barrel in 2 days. The ticker was below $100 this morning... Hope it keeps up...

News said it would have to stay that way for several days to see difference at pump. But, if someone just ***thinks*** it might go up, pump prices shoot up!

I cruised across the river a couple of weekends ago to get the cheapest gas between the few marinas (regular at $4.27). I was close to "E" and got both tanks up to half for $475.00. I called the same marina today and regular is up to $4.59.

I get my oil prices from the squawk box ticker in the mornings while waking up-- what the day end prices are I don't know-- I just know that this morning oil was $99-something, yesterday was $111, and a few days ago it was like $117.

We won't see pump changes for a while. Except for maybe UP still. A news story yesterday said the credit card companies have noted a 20% decrease in the sale of gas since it started going UP. Yet, even tho demand is down, price has gone UP like 44 days in a row now?

Supply and demand my butt. Greed and "because we can" is why prices still go up. The fix is in...

Glad I filled up last fall!

With high gas prices, we are going to be hanging out on the hook more. Somehow, last year we seemed to do a lot of cruising, many times burning 60-70 gallons for the trip! Of course, having the boat out of commission for a month or so partially made up for the extra gas when we were actually on the water!

Waywego, me too!!! I filled up all tanks with diesel at $2.78.

That's the good news. The bad news is now I'm burning it and will have to fill again in the fall. I'll be able to wait until well after the summer driving season is over and prices have fallen.

BTW, on our trip we found Shell gas in Miami everywhere from $3.89 up to $4.59 at stations only a couple of blocks apart.

The highest we saw was in Turks at $5.75. OUCH!!!
