I'm new to the board but would try to join you guys when you get a date. I'm 30 minutes south of Indy and can bring the "smallest" boat grin

I bet I know where you boat. 30 minutes south of Indy puts you with a VERY short drive to Monroe...

Doubt you will ever see me at That "puddle of mud". I'll go to patoka, would love to try brookville, but mostly I drive 4 1/2 hrs south to Dale Hollow Lake. It's worth every minute of that drive. I just save my vacation time so I can take 3-4 day weekends. How bout you Cadet?

Monroe mostly. How does Patoka compare?

Patoka is a tad bit smaller but not nearly as crowded, the water is VERY clear, they don't have off-shore boats running around like monroe does,... basically its far enough away from Indy to get away from the crowds. We love it. They have a cove down by the dam where people congregate to party but it's not as packed as say, Allens creek. You should try it sometime. I'm on vacation next week so I'm gonna go down for a day or two, then head to Dale Hollow for the following weekend.

Patoka has always been one of our favorites. Monroe is the largest in Indiana but about half of the lake is no-wake zone. It seems Patoka has much more "running" area than Monroe but still has several spots to "hide out" in a no wake zone.
Highly recommend making a trip down there Firecadet. We haven't been down since the gambling came to French Lick but now there's that to do and Holiday World is within 45 min. drive.
