Last year's boat show was a bit leaner than prior years, but THIS year's show bordered on the ridiculous...
These first two pics are from our 2006 show. This is what our boat show USED to look like, boats, boats, and more boats, as far as you can see...

=======================
This is a pair of pictures of this year's show. A few boats, and a whole bunch of concession booth stuff that should be out in the lobby...

========================
One more observation about this show: I took both sets of photos from the same place, on top of the available houseboat at the south end of the building. Notice the old boat show pics, not only is the place filled with boats, you can hardly see all the way to the north end--
--no problem seeing to the north end of the place this year, as there's a wall that's cut the available floor space by at least 1/3, probably more.
Wow.
What I didn't see that's usually there (some Justy already mentioned): Searay, Bayliner, Reinell, Bennington, Chaparral, Glastron (although a dealer brought a list of Glastron's for sale), Cruisers Yachts, Bryant, Baja, Larson...
What WAS there: Tahoe, Tracker, Regal, Lund, Triumph, Cobalt, Four Winns, Stingray, Monterey, a few new pontoon boat mfr's, all the ski boats were there, and some dealer had a bunch of Nordic's, which are new here. This 35' Nordic GFBL was the biggest boat at the show...

====================
I guess if you can aford the 235 big ones, putting gas in those engines should be no big deal...
I believe the "regular" biggest boat at the show was the Cobalt 262...
The boat that most impressed me? This little 18' Monterey. Very roomy cockpit for an 18'er, although it gets that way because the bow seating is quite small. And the little extra details really made it stand out. Seems much bigger than 18'...

====================
Oh well, it was better than NO boat show. But sad....
