I don't want this to be political, but it is hard not for it to take that route. You guys can go as political as you want, but it will be deleted. When a large proposal is rushed through, and votes seemingly have to be bought, what does that really tell you? From this article, http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2010/01/...h-reform-talks/the main clause I am referring to is; "The breakthrough announced Thursday was a biproduct of the previous days talks: a deal on so-called "Cadillac" insurance plans. The White House and top union leaders heralded the agreement, which shields all union workers for five years from significant taxes on health benefit packages that non-union workers will face starting in 2013." Why is it some people are exempt from a tax, when the rest of us have to pay it? Are they better than us? Are they more deserving than us? What makes that group of people tax exempt???? This is BS in the biggest form possible. I don't care if you are red, blue, green, or whatever, this should turn your stomach.

This is not 'universal health care', rather a push for universal health 'insurance' wrapped in one of the largest tax increases on individuals and businesses in history. Wait until some of those folks expecting 'free care' find out that it is nothing of the sort with co-pays and premiums that are sky high in many circumstances. These idiots have simply found a way to pull tax revenue forward (prior to providing any 'benefits') that was sold as 'health care' in an attempt to stem the flow of serious red ink and cash flow problems at the federal level. Ultimately, the bond market will put an end to the BS, but by that time, things will be pretty ugly. Several states are already preparing lawsuits relative to the 'mandates' that this crap places back upon the states. Completely unconstitutional stuff here people. The article below provides some interesting insight. NY Times - CBO review Whatever job creation may have been on the near horizon, this has put a stake through it's heart for sure!
