We are having a traditional Christmas this year – no traveling, just the normal seats for four in our house, which we are accustomed to...

Christmas comes in many forms though … this fall we were able to see all of our family (twice, the second time over Thanksgiving) during our move north.

More presents… this past Saturday we received our household goods.
During the entire time we were unloading the trailer, big snowflakes were falling.
Great backdrop while moving into our new house d

This was Christmas day for us.

Yesterday, our Tampa property manager informed us that someone was very interested in renting our house in FL – before it was officially advertised & at a higher rate.
And today, the Admiral received a (potential) great job opportunity.
No need to travel anywhere this year – if everything works out, we will have a nice Christmas and great new year right where we are thumb

LL, it sounds like you are off to a great start on the new year.

Just the 4 of us for Christmas, just the way I like it, no rushing around trying to clean up the house or off to relatives house.

The kids and I just saw both sides of the family when we were in AZ for Thanksgiving.

An early happy holidays to all.

Joe, everything worked out well - only because of planning, more planning and over-thinking thereafter.

And like you, the family of 4 thing is something we are accustomed to and have enjoyed - low commotion, relaxed environment... just a peaceful & enjoyable environment.
With that said, last weekend my mother let us know her and step-dad had plans to drive down from Maine for Christmas d

My in-laws have spent holidays with us when we all lived in the same area.
But, this is the first time we have hosted out-of-town family on Christmas smile
We are pumped - nothing for us to do other than accept guests, Christmas dinner and have a nice Christmas with them.

Merry Chrismas everyone from California:
The Maui portion of our trip was completed last night. 83 degrees everyday in Maui, how boring! Took one day of the trip to go out into the Pacific on a fishing trip aboard a 37ft sports fish (Cabo). Went out about three hours, fished for three and returned rocking and rolling as the trade winds made them selves known! We were spraying salt water well over the bridge and it seemed we were rolling at least 60 degrees to each side for nearly three hours of the trip. No fish! Of course a trip to Maui means a whale watching excursion as well. Watching a 40 ton whale jump completly out of the water sure beats watching flying carp on the Mississippi!

I started washing and waxing the truck on Tuesday and never stopped. smile Seriously, it is pretty good time being with everyone one and I did wash and wax the truck on Tuesday.

Ok guys and gals, you need to post more this week as I am in a house with 14 other people and the weather is too chilly to spend too much time outside.

There is a west marine walking distance away from the house. that will be a day after Christmas trip. I don't even know what day of the week it is so I guess I am relaxing. This morning I wasn't because the family wanted to have bacon and eggs and we only had 14 eggs for 15 people and they all thought we had enough. I told them what my family eats and they flipped. Needless to say I went to the local grocery store to buy more food.

My Christmas trip is going great. Did our shopping today in New York, went for a carriage ride through Central Park and no sitting in our suite having a glass of Pinot Noir. Awesome day.

Merry Christmas everyone
