It was a little rough going up to DC and very calm heading back. I won't forget my first mate bonding with OH and helping OH operate the radio.

So what dates are we looking at? This weekend I will be supporting the Virginia economy by boating on Smith Mountain Lake, the next weekend we will probably be in NY taking a fall trip riding the chair lift up a ski mountain and walking down one of the trails with my father and some extended family members.

We should be free the other weekends.

I still laugh about your FM and the radio. To those reading that weren't on the boat....Cobalt's admiral was under the weather and not able to make the boat ride back home. We dropped her off at a dock, while we high tailed it back to the slip so we could pick her up in the truck. My admiral held our first mate while I held Cobalt's first mate. Cobalt's FM was about 2.5 years old and liked pushing buttons (literally and figuratively). He would push the stereo buttons until he was told not to. He then had the idea that if he grabs my finger and has me push the buttons it would be ok because he was no longer pushing any buttons. That still cracks me up and now that my son is about the same age as Cobalt's son was last year, it is amazing to see how their minds work.

My admiral asked if we have a date yet? C24SX and Blackhawk, what do you think?

I just noticed that OH's signature is showing a for sale sign -- does this mean there has been a purchase, or only getting ready???

Anytime on or after the 17th is ok with me. I'm thinking about going to the Annapolis boat show (15-18) and my birthday (40th) is on the 14th. Not sure what plans are in the works with that. It'd be good to tie the date down.

Yes the boat is for sale but it was always for sale for the right price. We are negotiating a new boat but nothing is official yet.

We may be able to go on 10/25, but still have to work out a few details.

I think we should pick a rain date also. That way if the weather or water conditions are not good, we can reschedule easily. This late into the year, I want to avoid my family getting sprayed with cold water.

How can you get sprayed with the camper canvas?

So our proposed dates are the 18th or the following weekend on the 25th. My vote is the 18th with the 25th as a rain date.
