Have you ever gone up thru the locks? My uncle lives in Richland and he has done it a time or two. I guess it's pretty cool.

Do you boat mostly on the Columbia or Snake? When we first started going down to the TC boating we put in at Hood park there at the mouth of the Snake. After making a trip up the road to Charbonneau we never went anywhere else unless it was by water up to Fishhook.

We put in at Bayview on the south end of the lake. You turn off US95 at Athol. It's only about 12 miles from Athol to Bayview and is a 4 laner all the way in. You go right by Farragut State Park. If your into camping it's a beautiful huge park. I believe its over 2200 acres in size. It was a military base at one time. Back in the 40's I believe.

If you're ever looking for something new or different Pend Oreille won't disappoint you. I don't believe there is a single water obstruction anywhere on the lake and having boated on the Snake like you have you will appreciate that. If you like CDA you will love Pend Oreille. Very family oriented and has multiple Bays with full service.

Wow, this thread has turned into anything but information about labbed props. lol Sorry to anyone who this has annoyed.

My brother-in-law bought a place on Pend Oreille a couple of years ago. I'd love to get up there and see the lake - it sounds beautiful.

etyppo,

You wouldn't happen to know what part of the lake your brother-in-law's place is do you?

The lake isn't all that accessible by car so most of the homes are either in the Bayview area or the North end of the lake up around Hope Id. There are some at Garfield Bay and Bottle Bay too. Hope Id. is the home of Lighhouse salad dressing if any of you use that brand. There are some incredible homes up around Hope.

I don't unfortunately. My father-in-law showed me where it was via google maps awhile back, but I don't remember where it was located when I looked again.
