Hopefully the weather will be the same as last weekend. It was gorgeous.

So far, the weather is not looking very warm -- low of 43, high of 64. I am thinking that unless the forecast changes substantially, it is going to be in the mid-40's at 9am! Do Cobalt 24SX's come with heat? We have canvas, but nothing to warm up the cockpit.

What do you guys think about meeting up for breakfast around 9am and launching around 11? It ought to be a bit warmer by then...

Whatever schedule we end up with, please keep in mind that we are trailer boaters with a 1hr drive from home and prep/launch that needs to be completed before meeting up. I can be pretty flexible, but I am not sure it is wise to get my admiral and mates up early on a weekend to go boating in 40 or 50 degree temperatures. ouch

OH, you are right about the past weekend. I took this afternoon off and went for a cruise out of Leesylvania with my BIL. The weather was in the 50's until 10am, in the 60's until 1pm, and almost 80 degrees by 3:30 when we launched. Hardly any boats out and the whole river was smooth as glass. We ran down to the 301 bridge and back, and were out of the park around 6:30. A beautiful day!

It doesn't matter to me, OHA and OHFM may have other opinions. We are at a hotel (indoor pool and hot tub) just a few minutes from the docks so we're flexible on timing.

The latest forecast shows showers and a low of 39 on Saturday night -- that is sure going the wrong way!!! I hope we don't have to clear snow before heading out. grin

The good news is that the weather continues to call for a sunny Sunday!

Since C24SX has not yet chimed in, I'll give him a call tomorrow and see what he thinks.

Just relooked at who is attending and it is Waywego, Cobalt24 and OH.

If worse comes to worse, bring your swim suits and we can hang out at the hotel and take a swim.

Well, the BABC DC cruise is about to begin. I'm now calling it the BABC Polar Bear Club with temps now at 42. Today's high should be 59. One might ask what could possibly motivate one to go out in these temps? The answer is yesterdays Annapolis boat show and a love for boating.

I think we had a good time yesterday. We started off meeting at 10 AM for brunch in order to get a good bite to eat and to have the temperatures warm up a little. Cobalt and On Holiday arrived by motor vehicle while Waywego one upped us and arrived to the restaurant by boat.

Not to have Troop out do us with his law enforcement, I guess I should post one myself.

Thanks for the pictures. thumb I have seen those monuments in person, but I think it would cool to do it by boat sometime myself.

Great pictures!! I was actually in DC over the weekend visiting some friends. I had seen your earlier posts. So, as we were driving past the river, I was watching for the BABC flotilla and wishing I could join in. Especially since I just winterized for the season.

I'm sure it was a little chilly on the water. But, from the pictures, it looks like the sunshine made up for it! Thanks for sharing!

A few more pictures:

Cobalt and admiral

Cobalt's admiral and first mate

On Holiday's admiral and first mate (notice the flag, we were just floating)

On Holiday holding Cobalt's first mate

Sometimes what goes on while on the water should stay on the water but this story is too cute. I was holding Cobalt's first mate and he took it upon himself to be the glove box hinge tester for Cobalts. He would open the glove box and then close it many times. We were able to have him stop doing that then he became the tester for pushing buttons for the stereo. He stopped but then grabbed my finger with his hand and made me push the buttons. It was very funny and gave all of us a good laugh.

Thanks for the pictures OH! I think we should start a new thread for a spring trip in Annapolis.
