I tried my hand at another video shocked

This is running the boat on the muffs in prep for the winterization (antifreeze).

It is in Quicktime (10 MB)

Running on the muffs

Perhaps I'll have to post them on my web page. w

Enjoy. smile

So this is Part 1 of DIY.

Did you filmed part 2 with changing the oil?

Poor doggy wanted to play. Got scared so he had to leave his ball. frown

I see you have part 3 down. This will help lots of people.

Good vid, just wondering what's up with your port exhaust?

Hard to really tell, but it looks like it takes the same amount of time for water to start flowing out the exhaust as my boat. I have a similar video, takes ~30 seconds for water to come out the exhaust but if I watch closely the water flowing out of the muffs drops as soon as I start cranking the engine.

Hello FarmerTed:

Well you may not quite be able to tell, but the boat as it sits on dry land is leaning to starboard slightly. Therefore, the water coming thru the transom into the swim platform favors the right side. (It is a "silent thunder" exhaust setup) If the boat were perfectly level, then the flow would be even port/starboard.

As soon as the engine starts it will draw from the hose, thus reducing the side discharge on the muffs immediately. But that is only the beginning. . . the water has to make its way up to the sea water pump, then to the engine, out the risers and into the swim platform before you will see any discharge. about 15-20 seconds.

This weekend, I may try a 'removing the outdrive' video ?fun?
