I just heard that Brunswick was cutting loose another 1400 employees, and closing several more boat manufacturing facilities. Many more are being cut back or consolidating.

As this happens, I think back to 2000 during the internet bust and wonder how much knowledge, innovation and technology was lost as these companies go belly up. Where does all that end up?
