OK, so after about 2 years of injuries, surgeries, mild depression, otehr medical "problems" and many ER visits, the Admiral is back to teaching dance!!! some may recall that she owned and operated her own "jazzercise" franchise for 2 years and had to give it up due to a hip muscle tear which required surgery. along with that came the "sports hernia" and groin muscle tearing. This went on for 2 years of PT and recovery which brought the onset of depression and the thought of never being able to do it again.
Well, shes back!!!! it all started when she took the first mate to dance class who ended up acting shy causing the admiral to get up and dance with her. The instructor said something to the effect of "looks like mommy has taken dance before" and proceeded to say "looks like mommy needs to teach classes of her own".
I pushed her to talk to the owner and she was hired on as an instructor of dance for 4-10 year olds within about 3 weeks!!!
She actually started her first day of "work" on the day that I got laid off and has increased her classes from 4 a week to 10 in only a month! she is not only teaching but she is designing her own class, moves, and teaching jazz, tap and ballet to the younger kids as well as areobics to adults!!
This is something that she has dreamed about since a kid and I am so very proud of her!!
On occasion she reads the board and will post so please, help me in saying "keep it up kid - your doing great!!!"
