Well, I took the camera out on the boat yesterday and tried my hand at making a movie. Not quite ready for Hollywood, but here it is . . .

Formula 242 SS Engine Compartment

It is in QuickTime.

Enjoy. smile

What? No wackiness ensues? wink

Sure wish I could push a button to open MY engine doors! But I'm glad YOU get to change the spark plugs!

That looks just like the set up in my 88 FW but I don't have the motorized feature, in fact I didn't have the gas struts until a couple of years ago when I got tired of lifting up the heavy sunpad myself! If you take out the 2 dividers on either side of the engine I bet the acess isn't bad. I actually move the whole rear seat foward when I winterize so I can get in and change the oil and drain everything manually. I do like those Formulas and would love to have one for my next boat. Most people around here have fishing style boats so that would really stand out.

The process for removing the plugs IS to take out the dividers. Even then, you never really see the plugs - you just have to feel for them.
