I went into a BBQ place a few years ago, heard what sounded like a big prop engined plane going overhead, looked up and saw a B17. On the way out, I heard another plane, looked up and saw a B25. It turned out the Collins Foundation was at an airport nearby with the B17, B25 and a B24. They usually arrive right around my birthday. A ride in a B17 is going to be my birthday present one of these years.
Phantom - are those taken at Edwards or that airport near Mojave? I used to drive by that airport on the way to Willow Springs. There were always interesting planes visible from the road.
