For those interested, the Glastron Web site has been updated to show their 2009 boat line up. I was surprised to see the GX line has been replaced. The new line is now the GLS. Not sure if I like the new helm redesign. I will have to see it in person to decide. Kind of reminds me of Larson's design.

You do know that they have the same "parent" company, right?

The DVD that came with my Glastron cruiser covered Glastron and Larson, and I think, a couple other brands. It was pretty much a sales pitch which seems odd to give to someone who has already bought the boat.

Yeah, I had more respect for the Glastron brand when they weren't so much like the Larson's.

Nothing against Larson, they are nice boats.

I just don't care for the "clone" thing...

And it wouldn't stop me from buying one if it suit my needs.

Just sayin'...

Glastron is just a name acquired by Genmar. The Glastrons that were ubiquitous--mostly small tri-hulls--in the 70's and built in Texas are gone. You can still buy electronics with RCA, Zenith and Westinghouse but those companies are gone just like Glastron.
Glastron is an economy Larson. I have one and am happy with it.

Yep, I had three of the "classic" Texan Glastron's. Two tri-hulls and a v-hull.

All three of them are still in use today (sadly, not by me).

My first boat was a Glastron tri hull. Taught a lot of kids to ski behind that boat. Could run all day on 20 gallons of fuel. Would pull two skiers with a 75 horse Chrysler.
