Optical illusion due to the angle and zoom make it look pretty close... Here's another shot--Notice the back of Joey's boat is about 1/2 way between rail supports. Those supports are 6' apart, the gate opening is about 2' wide, and it's about another 2' to the stern. So the 2 sterns are about 13' apart.
