Kinda like looking at your wake.... pride of ownership....... you made it thumb

Seriously, it tells you alot about how the gar is constructed. leaf quality, etc. Only premium filler/binder leaf will stay 'constituted' for an inch or more at the end of the smoke.... mostly silly [censored].

Regarding the ash... For me, there's a whole lot to enjoy in a good cigar. Taste, Smell, AND Sight.
I don't have enough of an aquired taste to pick out all the subtle flavors, I just go by what tastes good or not.
I do like a full bodied smoke, but has to be smooth.

Got into smokeing cigars back a few years when it was trendy. But lost interest as it got harder and harder to find a place to relax and smoke. I think the last straw was when I couldn't even smoke at a strip joint. Can't smoke around the wife and kids. So my humidors sit in the garage.

I had this one smoke I found at a cigar shop that was perfect for my liking. Nothing better than a Carl's Jr. Super Star and this smoke for lunch. mmmmmmmmmm.
But now that I don't smoke much, I have forgotten what it was and haven't been able to find that same enjoyment. frown

Regarding Macanudos. I have a friend who always smokes these. But I never liked them myself. Don't like the way they burn, and many times I've found they get soggy. idn
Maybe it's the way I smoke it or maybe I'm chewing it without realizing it??? But I never had the problem with other smokes.

lol
that what i would call the Regular Guy's look at stogies,
if you can't enjoy a stogie at a strip club after just eating a double Star burger, then maybe there just isn't any use rofl

my hero Rodney 'Regular Guy' in action:

i haven't shopped for clothes for myself in ten years without thinking about him in that flic

I must admit, that's a great analogy.

hockey - i agree about macanudo's. most seem wrapped too tighly for my taste, and they burn very inconsistently, at least in my experience.

Another great smooth mild smoke is a Rocky Patel Vintage 1999 with the Connecticut shade wrapper. Very nice when on the hook. Combine it with a single malt scotch and nothing but time and a view.
