I will be in southern MD the beginning of October. After that we are more able to move around the country. I would love to go however the boat will be winterized very soon. If we can go, may I bum a ride for the first time boating around DC?
We are available most weekends in October except the 25th.

OH, you are welcome to come with us.
For us, it will probably need to be a Sunday due to my younger daughter's soccer games on Saturday.
I am thinking that Annapolis would be fun, and Sandy Point has great launch facilities. Maybe we could do lunch at the restaurant that Seabuddy posted about, Carrol's Creek.

We would love to join you all on the cruise, but football and cheerleading practices/games consume us this time of year. We do have a couple of Sunday's free this football season, but it's quite a tow for us to Sandy Point (close to 2.5 hours) for just a day trip. We should plan a cruise for next year also, but a little earlier in the season. We'll also have the capability to overnight...we're planning on purchasing a camper canvas and bow/cockpit filler cushions this winter (my Christmas presents )
My Mom told us tonight that she's tentatively scheduled to begin treatments (I mentioned her/our situation to Waywego @ Raystown) in Boston mid-end of October, so we're going to keep our activities/schedule clear. We'll have to meet up with you all another time. Have fun, and as I previously mentioned, take/post some pix.
Waywego, thanks for the consideration on moving the cruise a bit north...
I am good for when ever except for the first weekend. The 12th is our anniversary so it may not be the best time to spend with our internet boating friends, even though you are all nice people.

Done. We are on for the 19th.
I do have to be back at home by 6pm, so need to be at the ramp by 3:30 or so.
Sunday lunch buffet at Carrol's Creek is from 10am to 1:30pm. I think we can make a reservation and probably ought to with a group of our size.
How about meeting at the Sandy Point ramp area at 10am? That would give us time to launch, head to Annapolis and maybe even cruise around a little bit. I am thinking a reservation for noon, and after lunch, a leisurly cruise to the Thomas Point lighthouse, and maybe stop by the Sandy Point and Baltimore lighthouses. If there is time, we can also explore the Magothy River area...
