Here's my new 12 volt 19" flat screen TV/DVD player installed:

This shows the 12 volt outlet and antenna connection:

I suppose I should build a DVD rack in the space under the TV.

Did you have a hard time finding a reasonable price for 12 volt lcd tv/dvd?

Was the 12 volt outlet already there?

Here's the TV/DVD:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000OWMJ6M

It was on sale for a little less when I bought it. West Marine sells the same thing for about $70.00 more.

No, the outlet was not there, neither was the TV antenna outlet but the boat had a TV antenna. I moved the antenna outlet and power supply from where the previous owner had installed them. I was able to fish the antenna and the 12 volt wires from the helm to the anchor locker and install the outlets in the bulkhead between the anchor locker and the berth area.

The TV is actually mounted on a tilt bracket that's mounted on the anchor locker door. I'll have to lift it off to open the door if I need to get in there. I had to move the latch for the door to clear the TV.

Hey Ron,
How do you like the Seaworth TV?

First year for us with the 19" Seaworth. It worked pretty well for us with just a regular Shakespeare marina antenna. We had to mount ours from the ceiling with a standard aluminum mount with a swing arm.

So far it's been fine. I used the existing bridge mounted antenna (Dantronics). It looks like a Shakspeare.

We watched a DVD the other night and that worked fine also. Marina neighbors are impressed. Also a little upset because someone else told them they needed "digital" antennas so they replaced theirs. The antenna just picks up and amplifies the signal, it doesn't know what is in the signal. Also, they bought home antennas which are directional so the signal fades when the boat turns.

My only complaint is that the button locations on the remote are not very intuitive. Lots of times I have to turn on the light to find the correct button to push. Also, the lavels are a little hard to understand. Better would be to have the ones that are used often near the top and "menu" and such near the bottom or under a cover.
