Sorry
Sep and Early Oct don't work for me due to Daughter, Wife, and Mother birthdays. And end of Oct is my fathers. So I can only squeeze in the middle of Oct.
I might be able to do either the 11th or the 18th. The trip next week is the annual houseboat trip with some long-time friends and I didn't get to set the date, just get to write a check and show up!

Just back from Catalina and I will talk about that later but I agree with Deepv about the temps allowing camping on the beach. It might not be a bad idea to set up a site for day use maybe Nevada telephone cove or up the lake further. The water temps do start dropping up lake, but remain nice inside the southern cove's, there are some great sandy beach's just south of Katherine's.

Ralphie May at the Riverside 10/7 ~ 10/12
WooHoo...
ok not too much woohoo, but somethings to kill a few hours at night. and a reason to bump the thread. I actually like Ralphie May. Saw him at an improv.

Just a heads up, we have been having wacky weather here and the lake is starting to cool off, but its holding in elevation due to all the rain we have been getting. This has been our 3rd wettest monsoon on record and nothing like it since the 80's and it does not seem to be ending yet. I am no weather expert but it seems like that el nino thing is setting us up for continued wet season through winter.

If Charles and his friends make it, they normally get wet at cottonwood cove. I guessing that HF will come to kat's and what about you DeepV? Are you guys planning on boating Saturday only or Saturday and Sunday?

Yup, Kat's for us.
We will be there in BHC on Friday night, boat Sat and return home Sun. We useally only go up a few miles from Kat's. Southern end of the main lake I guess. But we should be able to make it to CC if that's where ya'll be.

I am like you. I normally go south towards the dam and there is small sandy cove on the south side of the big sandy cove that I like, unless its windy then I go on the other side back into the corner near the potty, and I will probably be there friday night to sleep then determine how we will meet up saturday.
