8 years, all relative. The Lions have been mediocre to terrible since the inception of the NFL.

Well, I read since the 50s, and the NFL started in the 30s. And just for hope sake, remember the Pittsburgh Steelers were one of, if not the worse run team from the NFL's founding, until the very early 70's. And have been one of the best run, most consistantly winning teams since. And they didn't change owners to do it. Just the head coach (Chuck Noll). Keep the faith Lions fans.

I went to the Lions game yesterday. From the $9 beers, $6 hot dogs the $4 bottles of water and the awful product the put on the field...they will NOT be seeing any of our money for a long time.

From tickets, food, gas to babysitter. Yesterday cost us about $300. What a waste. The stadium is sweet...the team is horrible and they called it a sellout but there were 15,000 or so empty seats.

The good news is...the Lions won pregame. So all was good until kickoff.

LOL WD. You could have saved the babysitting money. I was home all day yesterday and WetDoggg junior could have played in the dirt with me while I put in some more landscape lights. My girls watched the game on tv and were not happy fans. They both had higher expectations.

The Lions???? I've seen better high school teams play there. Ok, maybe not that bad, but they are HORRIBLE!

I'm a pretty loyal Lion's fan, but I laughed out loud when they managed to get fumble overturned, only to turn around and toss and INT for a touchdown the very next play.

At that point, facing the sad task of packing the boat up for the winter seemed like a MUCH better idea then watching any more of that game. I also pulled out the dock at our subdivision boat ramp and mowed my front lawn, all WAY more productive then the Lion's offense.

As sad as Tom Brady's season ending injury is, it's kinda refreshing as Pats fan (after last year's media circus) to have them cruising under the radar and doing fairly well. What's going on with the Chargers and the Colts?

Colts can't count on a Houston Texans like meltdown every week. They better make some adjustments quickly, that's a tough division. I looked up Peyton's/Colts stats. Manning has a lower QB rating than Matt Cassel, (the Pats current QB, a guy with 3 NFL starts) and the Colts offense has scored fewer points than the Pats offense (the Colts have scored more points, overall, but some came from the defense). WTH?

Chargers had a terrible start last year too, if memory serves. Then they ended up nearly winning the AFC championship with Norv at the helm. He musta done something right last year. This Sunday night's game against the Pats ought to be a battle. I don't like the Pats chances...

With the Pats pretty much out of contention, you'd think one of those two AFC powerhouse teams would sieze the opportunity to rise to the top. Looks like most of the power has moved to the NFC again.

Wouldn't it be funny if Miami went all the way...
