Gas and gas tax combined. Ideal.
"New York Times" columnist Thomas Friedman says raise the tax now and as the market price goes down, I get the feeling that he wants it raised even higher.
He was at suggesting a 50 cents extra tax on top of then all types of gas taxes back in around 9/11, and recently was asking for a $1.00 this summer.
This is on top of my understanding that Gov makes more on a gallon of Gas than Mobil Oil.
Why? He says its the right way for the USA to get off oil.
What do you think?
