I've noticed that on Motor Yachts, what they call a cockpit is what I would call a back porch.

Looks like its a MY. No cockpit. Somewhat very exposed aft deck to have an area to be called a "Florida Room", too, but that may be the photo.

I would say "aft cabin". Very popular type of cruiser in Europe. Serves to pack an extra stateroom into a limited length. But I prefer the more stylish version that seabuddy showed in his last photo.

Once one says that one wants to cruise the low height clearance Canalways of Europe and take on the rougher waters in something like the North Sea...

Those Dutch designs are unique. But I sometimes wonder how many owners actually take these out into the open sea. Oh well, sweet boats in any case!
