I have some stubborn hard water spots on the boat windshields and was wondering what the best product to remove them and clean the windshield ?

I've looked at Plexus and also PlasticX from Meguiars.

I've just been using distilled water and Amway LOC and still can't get them off.

Thanks much!!

My windshield is also spotty. I'm usually sitting up on the flip-up bolster looking over windshield so I've never tried cleaning them beyond normal washing. If you find something that works, could you post back?

I have heard a little vinegar and water will do it but have never tried it myself.

I use RainX and it seems to make them come off easier along with bugs.

I have used a 50/50 solution of vinegar and water with newspaper to wipe clean. It works... If you have tough water spots, a diluted rag (spray Tilex to dampen a water-wet, rung out rag) full of Tilex will work as well. The water spots are calcium-based and tilex works great... CLR used carefully works as well. Normally, a rag sprayed wet is all you need for shower doors and such, and windows and windshields. Don't allow the CLR or Tilex to come in contact with the rubber around your windshield. Not sure what would happen if it did, but I just try to be real careful around rubber seals.

I've always had great luck with vineger too.
If it's glass, not plastic, a detailers clay bar will get them off.

Water Spot Remover

This stuff makes the Table Rock and Lake Michigan spots disappear easily.

If your brave, careful, have an old rag and some rubber gloves, and a running hose for rinse water, get some "The Works" toilet bowl cleaner, squirt some in the rag, and wipe the spots off, they'll be gone almost instantly. Rinse well and you'll be fine.
